*Rashid culiminated his first year in the American showring by winning the 2006 U.S. National Reserve Senior Stallion Championship. This resounding win came in the wake of his American showring debut in February, capturing the 2006 Scottsdale Stallion Championship with handler Jeff Schall. This was the beautiful bay stallion's first appearance outside Brazil, where he is twiced named National Champion.
*Rashid's remarkable presence and extraordinary quality first brought his first win in the hotly contested Scottsdale Aged Stallion class on Saturday, followed by the Scottsdale Senior Stallion Championship Sunday. Though *Rashid's quality conformation makes him one of the most well-balanced show stallions in recent memory, the stunning silhouette of his outstanding neck and exemplary throat latch made it quite evident that "he won by a neck."
*Rashid Van Ryad's bloodlines represent many of the most prolific in breed history. His sire Ryad El Jamaal is an Ali Jamaal son out of an *El Shaklan daughter. His dam Striking Rhapsody is a gorgeous Strike daughter out of Four Winds Flare, the dam of Europa El Jamaal, U.S. National Champion Mare and one of Ali Jamaal's finest daughters.*Rashid was named 2000 Brazilian National Colt and Golden Colt Champion, the highest awards a two-year-old colt can reach in Brazil, and 2002 Brazilian National Young Stallion Champion. *Rashid has many imported Champion get now competing in the US, and produced a steller first American-born foal crop in 2005.
